The Tiger Promise is a tuition guarantee program for eligible students. This is our commitment to supporting students by covering tuition and mandatory fees, as long as they meet specific academic progress benchmarks. This program is designed for Texas residents who meet specific eligibility requirements. The financial aid office does this through gift aid such as grants and scholarships.
For eligible first-time freshmen, the Tiger Promise covers tuition and mandatory fees for up to 8 consecutive semesters or 4 years, including summer and winter semesters.
For new transfer students, it covers tuition and mandatory fees for up to 4 consecutive semesters or 2 years, including summer and winter semesters.
